Leadership Team
Enhance Safety Training exists because two people spent 15 years refusing to give up on an idea. Shanon and Jenny first met working at an FBO together — and it wasn't long before they launched their own plane washing business and started dreaming about what else they could build. The timing was never right. The plans kept getting shelved. But when they reunited at a compliance training company and finally gained the expertise their vision had always demanded, there was nothing left to wait for. EST is the result of a decade and a half of friendship, persistence, and an unshakeable belief that workers deserve better.
Shanon Hansen
ceo & co-founder
Shanon brings nearly two decades in safety training and professional development, shaped by her own blue-collar roots and a firsthand understanding of what workers actually need beyond a paycheck. She co-founded Enhance Safety Training on the belief that businesses and workers grow together when companies invest in the whole person — not just compliance.

Shanon grew up in a working-class, single-income household and spent years working blue-collar jobs. That experience shaped how she sees the relationship between work and life — and where most companies get it wrong.Â
She’s seen firsthand what happens when workers pour everything into a job with no support in return: the burnout, the toll on individuals and families, the spiral that comes when there’s no time off, no benefits, and no one in your corner. She’s also seen what’s possible when that changes.Â
Before co-founding Enhance Safety Training, Shanon spent nearly two decades in safety training and professional development — leading operations, developing training programs, navigating federal and state regulations, and developing professional women through nonprofit board leadership and event coordination.Â
What drives her now is a belief that businesses and workers can succeed together — each on their own terms, co-creating lives with real freedom of time, money, and choice. Workers who feel secure, educated, and genuinely supported. Companies that grow because they invest in their people. That’s what Enhance was built to do.Â

Jenny Shaw
COO & Co-founder
Jenny brings over 20 years in safety, training, and operations — and a lifetime of understanding what it's like to work hard and still barely get by. That firsthand experience drove her to co-found Enhance Safety Training, where she and Shanon are building the kind of workforce development that goes beyond compliance to give workers a real reason to stay and grow.

Jenny grew up in a working-class household. Her parents had her young and worked multiple jobs to make ends meet — and some of Jenny’s earliest memories are of tagging along while they cleaned restaurants and local businesses after closing time. Through those jobs, they found people who invested in them and showed them how to build something better. That experience shaped Jenny early: the right guidance and investment can change everything.
Knowing it and living it are entirely different things.
Jenny spent years in roles where responsibility was handed out freely and opportunity wasn’t. She knew what she was capable of long before anyone else gave her the chance to prove it. And when she finally did advance, she watched the same patterns play out for the people around her.
Before co-founding Enhance Safety Training, Jenny spent over 20 years in safety, training, management, and operations. As Operations Manager at a Fixed Base Operator, she oversaw critical safety initiatives and trained employees across the country. Later, doing quality assurance for an online compliance training company, the problem came into sharp focus: traditional training checks boxes but rarely creates lasting impact.
Jenny co-founded Enhance Safety Training because she’d spent two decades watching companies lose great people simply because they wouldn’t invest in them. Enhance is what she’d seen missing her entire career — a platform that treats workers as whole people, not compliance requirements. When you invest in someone’s future, you build the kind of workplace where great people want to stay.
